Russell Cheyne

Russell was born in 1963 in Glasgow.   He attended Richmond College, Sheffield where he trained as a Photographic Journalist with the National Council for Journalists. His early employers included Mercury Press Liverpool, London Sport and General, and Allsport International Sports Agency. For the past thirteen years Russell has been the Chief Sports Photographer at the Daily Telegraph, a job that has allowed him to travel extensively. Since 1988 he has covered every Olympic Games, Rugby and Football World Cup and most other major sporting events.

He currently lives in Surrey with his wife Alyson and their twins Euan and Elsie.
